VALORANT will be celebrating four years in June this year. The next update, VALORANT Patch 8.10 has been released. During the recent VALORANT Dev notes video, it was stated that this would be a minor patch. Due to the dates colliding with the ongoing VCT Masters Shanghai, it would result in major changes for players to adapt to during the event. Fans can expect the major changes to agents to take place in VALORANT Patch 8.11.

The first major addition from Patch 8.10 comes in the form of in-game content. VALORANT is introducing Welcome contracts for all new players in the game. Similar to other games, these contracts will act as a tutorial for new players shifting to VALORANT. The new event will consist of new missions and milestones to complete to help players navigate through the game.

Basic training will be similar to other in-game events. Players can track their progress as they complete their goals after each milestone. New players will also receive certain rewards to begin their VALORANT journey, similar to those that older players have already received in the game. Players will also receive XP through the Welcome contracts to help them progress in their Battle pass.

The other changes in VALORANT Patch 8.10 are bug fixes. There has been a bug concerning Cypher’s Spycam. If shot, it could bypass the weapon’s raising animation and deal no damage. Another bug concerning Clove’s Pick-Me-Up ability has also been addressed. The ability’s timer could be restarted, allowing Clove more time than intended to activate the ability.
