WoW AWC 2022 Cups

Arena World Championship 2022 Schedule

While it hasn’t been too long for players to step into the arena and fight for glory and the big cash prizes, it was longer than it should be! The Arena World Championship is coming back this year, and it is happening much sooner than expected, with the first cup starting on March 18th and lasting until March 20th.

Arena World Championship Schedule

During this time, the Race to World First in Sepulcher of the First Ones will probably go strong. As it turns out, the raid is quite challenging. Even with all the tier pieces acquired on most raid members, only a few guilds managed to go past Halondrus in Week 1, which is only the 7th boss in the raid. There is plenty of WoW content to watch this upcoming weekend.

Format and dates for AWC

With many registered players for the tournament, the format will be double elimination and a best of 5. This will give more than enough opportunities to all players to climb their ways to the finals of each event. There will be 4 cups with a conclusion of AWC with the Global Finals. The dates and regions for the events are only for Europe and the Americas, and they are:

  • Cup 1 – March 18-19
  • Cup 2 – March 25-26
  • Cup 3 – April 1-3
  • Cup 4 – April 8-10

The prize pool for the entire season is $700,000 (USD), and each cup per region has a prize pool of $10,000 (USD).

When and where to watch?

Like with most Blizzard events, you will be able to catch the event live on their YouTube channel on the dates mentioned below. The broadcast is going to begin at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Time (-7 GMT), and the casting talent will consist of Gillian “Eiya” Long, Sid “Supatease” Compston, Elliott “Venruki” Venczel, and Mohamed “Ziqo” Beshir.

Even if you are not a fan of PVP in World of Warcraft, or if you have found it a bit too stale in the past, we strongly encourage you to check this event out as the general skill of players has drastically improved over the years, especially with various orgs entering the Arena World Championship!
