IEM Chengdu 2024 Predictions
With such a wide range of teams attending IEM Chengdu 2024, there’s a clear divide in quality here. In terms of favorites, FaZe stands out at the top. Their defeat in the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 Final may affect their mental game, giving other teams the chance to emerge victorious in China, but on paper, FaZe should win it all. G2 and MOUZ are other contenders who will fancy their chances at silverware here.
When it comes to dark horses, there are a few we think could go all the way in Chengdu. The first is Virtus.pro. They’ve had a little while to get over their scandalous exit from the Major, where Jame’s crashed game led to losing it all. Victory in China could be a great way to bounce back. Then, there’s Astralis. After promoting dev1ce to IGL and bringing br0 back from Monte, we’re curious to see how this one goes. It could be a stroke of genius, but it could just as easily end in tears and disaster.
