ESPN is the worldwide leader in sports AND fantasy sports. Several platforms offer fantasy support, but ESPN still reigns supreme. The ESPN Fantasy mobile app is very intuitive.
The desktop version on the ESPN site is also straightforward to use. Users can propose, accept or deny trades, and it offers plenty of custom scoring options for the commissioner. In the end, ESPN Fantasy is a great program, especially for those who are just starting to get into fantasy.
Why Access Your Fantasy History
It can be fun to look back on previous seasons and see what went well or what went wrong. ESPN Fantasy used to allow users to go back and check out their respective league histories. That was until the 2019 season when ESPN suddenly took that function away. Users could only see the season before, and that was it.
Luckily for all ESPN Fantasy games users, they brought the league history back. Shortly after the backlash of erasing the league’s history, ESPN made it available for everyone to see. One could only imagine what would happen if they did not listen to their customer base.
How to Find the Team You Drafted
If you’re using the ESPN Fantasy app and can’t seem to find the team you drafted, there are a few steps to troubleshoot:
- Log out of your account by tapping on “settings” in the menu
- Close, re-launch the app, and re-log in to the ESPN Fantasy App
- Navigate to the Fantasy Football tab
- You should see your teams listed under the “My Teams” dropdown at the top of the app.
For those who are using the ESPN Fantasy site as opposed to the app, then the steps are slightly different:
- Close and relaunch your web browser
- Navigate to the Fantasy Football homepage to log in at the upper right-hand corner of the screen
- Your team(s) should now display on the left side of the page
- If your team(s) still don’t show up, you may have drafted using a different ESPN username, or you may have participated in a mock draft instead of a live draft
Unfortunately, ESPN does not have daily fantasy sports just yet. But they are partnered with DraftKings, so you can access your players after clicking the link on their page.
Accessing the ESPN Fantasy App
Getting access to the ESPN Fantasy app is incredibly easy and helps access your ESPN Fantasy history. It is available in the Apple and Google Play stores for free. From there, users will need to either sign into their ESPN account or create a new one.
If you want more in-depth fantasy advice, player reviews, or just more access to articles, then you will have to subscribe to ESPN+. It is a paid service that comes with plenty of fantasy advice along with plenty of exclusive content on ESPN.com.
How Does ESPN Compare to Other Fantasy Sites
While other fantasy sites like Yahoo have a better app, ESPN has much better analysis and insight on players. They have a panel of analysts who rank the player by their numbers and what they bring to their teams. ESPN also has alerts for injured players and lets you compare players in different positions.
With their various networks showing more and more esports, it will be interesting to see if ESPN invests in the ever-growing fantasy sports for esports. That and their app is where they are behind compared to other fantasy sites.
