LEC Week 8 Summer 2022 G2

LEC Week 8 Preview – Every match matters on the path to Worlds 2022

Who will reach the top 6 and fight for a spot at Worlds? Let’s break down some of the core matches for this week.

MSF vs G2

Misfits have been on one of the best runs in recent history. From being 0-3 after the first week, Misfits went 9-3 to almost locking playoffs. While they might not be with us anymore next year, as they sold their spot to Team Heretics, Misfits might go for the miracle run and head to Worlds.

With that being said, facing G2 in the last week might not be one of the best things. G2 is known for pushing later into the split, and with them having fixed some of the issues they had, Misfits will have a hard time. I expect all games to be slower-paced since every game will be important, so keep an eye out for the map durations. Below you can expect some of the best LoL odds for this match.

  • Winner: G2 Esports (1.56x)
  • First Blood: MSF (2.16x)
  • Race to 5 kills: G2 Esports (1.74x)
  • Total Towers: over 12.5 (2.09x)
  • Total kills: over 25.5 (1.83x)
  • Map Duration: over 32.5 (2.01x)

Vitality vs Rogue / Fnatic

Vitality have finally put the pieces together after the disappointing spring. They had a decent split so far and definitely have a higher potential. On the other hand, Fnatic have been on a downward trajectory, as the team struggled to find a suitable identity during the split. Will this be the split that Fnatic doesn’t make it to Worlds?

They will also face Rogue, who shouldn’t have many problems reaching the top 6. Rogue has had a few bad games recently, but they are still looking one of the strongest alongside MAD Lions. It will be exciting to see the two Korean junglers square off, as well as the veterans in the top and mid lane. It will be a close match, for sure, but Rogue are having slightly better team coordination and I think that the meta might favor them a little more than Vitality.

Haru’s arrival fixed some of the issues that Vitality had, giving them more of a stable and composed playstyle. Between the two, Vitality are definitely looking like the better team right now. Either way, Vitality will have a rough week, despite starting with a 9-6 score this LEC week 8.

RGE vs XL

We already mentioned how Rogue should be fine for playoffs, so it’s time to talk about XL. They had a really strong first half, but have dropped the ball hard in the second one. Now, they are definitely not looking well, especially after losing to BDS. Nonetheless, aside from RGE, they have an easier week compared to other teams fighting for playoffs.

Unfortunately for XL, however, RGE are much stronger, and unless they get out drafted hard, I don’t see XL coming out victorious from this one. Lucky for you, however, both teams want to scale, so make sure to keep those bets ready. Below you can find some of the GG.BET featured markets for this match:

  • Winner: RGE (1.45x)
  • First Blood: XL (2.23x)
  • Total Towers: over 12.5 (2.01x)
  • Map Duration: over 33.5 (2.12x)
  • Total Dragons Slain: over 4.5 (2.12x)
