CDL Røkkr Major Qualifiers – Week 2 Breakdown

After the first CDL Major 1, it did not take too long for the Major 2 qualifiers to kick off, and we are already going to be in the second week. There have been some quite exciting matches in week one, and week two seems to have a couple of matches that you should tune into.

Week 1 recap

If you have been following CDL, you are already familiar with the fact that OpTic Texas was the team that dominated the event, winning over Atlanta FaZe in the Grand Finals. While OpTic did win their match in week 1, it was quite close, as they went 3 -2 against Los Angeles Thieves. The same cannot be said for their rivals from the Major 1 finals, as Atlanta FaZe lost to Seattle Surge with a score of 3 -2.

The very dominant performance in week one has been displayed by Florida Mutineers, as they are undefeated so far. Both of their games were 3 – 0, the first one being against Los Angeles Guerrillas and the second one against New York Subliners.

Week 2 matches

In week 2 we are going to have some interesting matches. For starters, we will have OpTic Texas playing against Seattle Surge, a team who won the match against OpTic’s rivals from Major 1, FaZe. The second match worth checking out is Atlanta FaZe against London Royal Ravens, as LRR is another team who managed to win both of their games in week one and is technically undefeated(even if they dropped a match against New York Subliners but won 3 -1).

The third, and probably the best match of the week is going to be Florida Mutineers against OpTic Texas, for two reasons. The first one is, of course, that OpTic Texas is playing, as they won the Major 1 tournament, and the second reason is that Florida Mutineers are yet to lose a game during Major 2 qualifiers.
