Diablo 2: Resurrected Brings Season Two Ladder
It is going to be quite a while until Diablo IV is released, and while there might be some people who enjoy Diablo: Immortal out there, we know that the majority of the hack-and-slash genre fans are playing Diablo 2 Resurrected.
Season two comes with plenty of updates, and if you somehow managed to grind out everything that Diablo 2 Resurrected had to offer before, then Season Two will certainly bring you back to the game.
Terror Zones
Getting to level 99 is going to be much easier with the addition of Terror Zones, which are locations where players will be able to farm regular monsters instead of just having to kill Baal, Diablo, and Nihlathak over and over. Of course, it will still require some grinding, and taking advantage of the best Diablo 2 builds will certainly be necessary, but doing this will be more enjoyable for casual players.
In order to unlock these zones, players will have to defeat Baal per character and difficulty. Don’t worry, if you already did this, you will not have to do it again. Once you unlock these zones, you will be able to access them whenever they are up, which is every hour. The monsters in the zone will be slightly above the player level on each difficulty, which is a great update. For bonus points, Blizzard also added some visuals and sound effects for the zones that are “terrifying”, which is nice.
Ladder Season Two
Blizzard thinks that the first ladder was an absolute success, and we can kind of agree with that. While there was not much info about competitive opinions in the recent Diablo 4 survey, we believe that the feedback provided by the player base has certainly been noticed and that Diablo 4 will learn a lot from Diablo 2 Resurrected when it comes to Ladder Seasons.
The second season kicked off on October 6th, and if you log into the game, you will already be able to grind your ranks no matter which region you are in. The previously mentioned Terror Zones are also going to be a part of the second season, which will spice things up quite a bit.
Next to the Terror Zones, Ladder Season Two is also going to have six new Sundering Charms. These charms will cause the monster to have its resistance to specific damage types lowered.
Everyone will have the ability to farm all the zones in the game, while that was previously not possible. Sundering Charms will be obtainable from monsters in Terror Zones.
On top of these two major things, there are lots of fixes in the patch notes. While we all know that Diablo: Immortal is P2W, Diablo 2 Resurrections continues to be the Diablo that we all love, and we are glad that Blizzard is not implementing any changes to the game, even if Diablo: Immortal does make them a good amount of money.
