Epic Games have just launched the first NFT game on their store, Blankos Block Party!

What NFT game has Epic Games released?

For quite a while now Blankos Block Party has been available for gamers to play via Mythical Games.

Blankos has been able to amass a large following of active users engaging with the gameplay and also NFT marketplace. 2022 has seen 1 million play this game, a great accomplishment for a title only in its self described “early access” stage.

Back in June the news was announced that this game would be available through Epic Games. With no disruptions this groundbreaking move by Blankos will allow their already active user base to grow even more.

Epic Games’ CEO Tim Sweeney on Twitter in October of 2021 to address his feeling towards the adoption of Web3 gaming and technologies:

“Epic Games Store will welcome games that make use of blockchain tech provided they follow the relevant laws, disclose their terms, and are age-rated by an appropriate group. Though Epic’s not using crypto in our games, we welcome innovation in the areas of technology and finance.”

These comments seemed promising at the time of writing with many still unbeknown to the potential of Web3.

What makes Blankos Block Party different?

Blankos Block Party is much different from that of Axie Infinity and The Sandbox to name a few.

The reason for this being because users are not required to have a unique wallet to access the game.

Overall including this feature allows gamers to have a less daunting experience if this is their first time playing these sorts of games.
