TwitchCon San Diego 2022 is about to host a Fortnite Zero Build tournament. It will be one of the largest LAN tournaments for the game in its five year history. The last few months have been full of teams trying to secure their spot in the final. A total cash prize of $200,000 is up for grabs, so the teams involved are highly motivated.
The tournament begins on October 9. Here’s what you need to know.
For those in the San Diego area, the event can be attended live. Here’s how the schedule lines up on October 9. (All times are in Pacific Standard, the time zone for San Diego.)
As for those who cannot attend in person, watching on Twitch is the next best thing. As usual, a stream will be up on the official Twitch Rivals channel. Viewers who have their Twitch and Epic Games accounts linked within 14 days will receive one free cosmetic reward: the Purple Llama Football Spray.
Ordinarily, this requires a watch time of about 30 minutes. However, it is recommended to watch the entire stream to ensure you get the reward.

Scoring is as follows:
Total points will be added up to determine winners and who earns what amount of money.
Moreover, the player with the most eliminations will earn $200 bonus. Additionally, the money goes to a trio, so it will be split evenly three ways. While the money is a big draw, there’s another reason teams are going to want to win. The top placing team’s captain will get to set up an in-game cosmetic locker bundle. Ali-A, SypherPK and a few others have received this honor before.
