Fortnite Vaults Two Movement Mechanics in Chapter 6 Season 3
Over the years, Fortnite has added several new movement mechanics. The in-game movement is very different than it was in 2017 when the game was first getting popular. The way a character walks is different, but there are also things you can do now that you couldn’t back then. It seems now like every few seasons introduces a new mechanic, but this time, Epic Games has taken two of them away.

Fortnite Vaults Two Movements
Per FortniteStatus, the official source for changes to the game and more, Fortnite has totally removed two movement mechanics that were fairly recent introductions. Wall Kick and Roll Landing were just added among a slew of additions in Chapter 6 Season 1. Now, they’re gone in Chapter 6 Season 3.
Their update stated, “We’ll continue to evaluate new movement features for the future with learnings from these movement capabilities in mind.” The update also noted that these would be removed in Epic-made shooter modes.
You can still use them in Creative and other modes. They’re just not available in Battle Royale (or Zero Build) and Reload mode, which are among the most popular modes right now.
You can still mantle, sprint, slide, and do some of the other movements added in Chapter 6 Season 1. Epic has just restricted some of your options in a surprising tweak. Their update did not provide a specific reason.
For the most part, there weren’t major issues with them that forced them to be removed. The update also implies that those mechanics won’t come back.
Moreover, Epic is always looking for ways to improve the product. Movement is a big part of that. In the future, they may continue tinkering with the way players run and what they can do in the game.
For now, though, they’re done tinkering and have taken those aspects away. Many players enjoyed all the different mechanics and ways to move. Therefore, the decision to remove some of them is curious.
