Overwatch League 2021 Week 3 – Match Preview, Predictions and Odds

The Overwatch League is back, after two exciting weeks, another new set of matches are dawning this weekend. Week 1 saw San Francisco Shock stunted by Houston Outlaws, while Week 2 saw Philladelphia Fusion dominate the Chinese teams. Both teams are now in first place in their respective region, with 4 wins each.

Will this week’s Overwatch action yield the same unexpected results? The match-up of teams playing over this weekend are just as even as last week, upsets aside there are some clear predictions we can make if you’re looking at Overwatch betting. Not too many teams at the top of the power rankings are facing off, but last week showed that anything is possible in terms of results. This is what’s ahead for the Overwatch League 2021 Week 3.

The Overwatch League 2021 Week 3 matches are going to be the final round of qualifiers for the May Melee . After this the full cup is due to start. These are the matches being held this week:

A few big teams don’t have any matches scheduled this weekend, but there’s lots of action going on. One of the most anticipated matches going into Week 3 include:  Shanghai Dragons vs NYXL and SF Shock vs Florida Mayhem.

Both match-ups are crucial for the teams in their respective regions.

Washington Justice beat the Titans and Fuel in Week 2. They are now looking at a potential 4-0 score line if they edge out over Toronto Defiant and Boston Uprising in Week 3. In fact, Toronto Defiant is also looking at a potential 4-0 if they beat Justice and Spitfire this week. Overall, we have three teams hoping to earn a clean sweep this week, and six teams teams fighting for a chance at May Melee.

Overwatch League 2021 Week 3 Predictions

Going into Overwatch League 2021 Week 3, there are quite a few big games going on. If you’re looking at Overwatch League betting, then there are teams that look set to have a good week going into the matches.

Of the more anticipated games coming up over the weekend, Washington Justice and Toronto Defiant will play out the Match of the Week in my book. Coming off of their great performance last week, this isn’t too surprising. Both teams are coming into the season strong, and this match will determine plenty. Four maps will be played at the very least, meaning any high map count bet is a good pick.

Saturday’s match-up between Shanghai Dragons and New York Excelsior looks set to be one of the closest over the weekend. The current odds for the match have them essentially neck and neck, with Dragons edging them out briefly at some esports bookmakers. This is a game which is going to be close to call, but SHD look like they have the edge over NYXL. As the biggest match on Saturday, it’s a great example of why you should shop around to find the best odds on a match, that difference in price can really add up.
