Juggernaut Dota 2 – The most versatile hero that is always Meta
Out of the 121 heroes, Juggernaut boasts a fascinating 18 percent pick rate and over 50.33 percent win rate. This makes him the fifth most popular hero as of July 2021.What is interesting is that Juggernaut finds himself picked regardless of buffs or nerfs and is always a part of the regular pick rotation.
His popularity derives from various factors, whether it’s his late-game momentum, balance, or versatile skill set. Furthermore, Juggernaut had countless buffs over the last few patches making him a noteworthy candidate for a deep dive. Perhaps he is Icefrog’s brainchild after all.
There are plenty ways to play and build Juggernaut, here are two that will definitely up your MMR.

Simple two step Juggernaut Dota 2 Guide
Juggernaut’s vast array of skills enables him to become an efficient farmer at all stages of the game. His skill Q, Blade Fury, is a potent DPS skill that can clear out jungle camps at a tremendous rate. When he’s low on health, he can always use his skill W, Healing Ward, which provide percentage-based healing. The passive skill E, Blade Dance, will improve his damage output exponentially as the game goes late. And lastly, his ultimate skill R, Omnislash, allows him to lash out at his opponent, dealing physical damage per strike.
There are two notable Juggernaut Dota 2 item builds that we can recommend. However, both revolve around the pace of the game, so that’s one point to keep in mind. Say the game is going well, your mid-player is a Shadow Fiend or Storm Spirit, who wants to constantly hunt down enemies. In this case, your Juggernaut build should serve as assurance for late game.
Building Battlefury into Manta Style is often a safe option since both items provide decent stats and efficient farming capabilities. That said, a Manta Style can never go wrong as a late-game item in any game, just for its dodging ability.
Another popular build is to rush Mask of Madness into a Monkey King Bar, which is recommended when your team wants to snowball during midgame. When your team has heroes that can push quickly, such as a Leshrac or Broodmother, you might want to stay around your team to escalate the power gap.
Yet, even with all these handy skills, there are still caveats to be wary of.
Juggernaut Dota 2 Counter and Situations
Despite the carry hero’s versatility, several Juggernaut counters can make him vulnerable. BKB-piercing skills or items, namely Batrider’s Flaming Lasso ultimate or the Abyssal Blade item, can effectively stun Juggernaut while he’s using his skill Q. With proper timing, the enemy can initiate on Juggernaut just seconds before his skill Q ends, and he’s plausibly dead.
On a different note, Juggernaut’s Omnislash, or skill R, can easily be nullified by various items and skills. One instance is the affordable Ghost Scepter, which provides your enemy with ethereal form. Essentially, heroes in ethereal form will not take any physical damage. The skill R can also be interrupted if the enemy goes invisible, either using a skill, Glimmer Cape or Shadow Blade, to name a few.
Juggernaut Dota 2 Build Advice
Now, it’s not exactly the end of the world if your opponents do know how to counter Juggernaut. Nullifier is an active item that nullifies the effect of skills and items that your enemy target has. This easily prevents the possibility of any opponent escaping the full force of your skill R.
Get a Dust of Appearance, or ask your team to have dust ready before a team fight if there are invisible heroes. Although not recommended, you can consider picking up a BKB if the enemy team has various silence skills or disables. Or, if you are getting kited heavily, a Blink Dagger or Shadow Blade into Silver Edge can solve your mobility issues.
The gist of it is that Dota 2 is a situational strategy game, so instead of taking it from us, average Joes. Juggernaut Arcana and Immortal skins
Let’s be frank here. Cosmetics make Dota 2 better. Sure, the default Juggernaut Dota 2 set is pretty cool itself, but who wouldn’t want a Juggernaut Arcana to boost that ego of ours.
Now, fun fact, Juggernaut won the Arcana Vote 2016 against Io by a mere four percent. That said, the heavy support for Io at the time was probably due to the Dota 2 community’s curiosity to see how Valve would deliver an arcana for Io. The hero is quite literally a ball of light.
Anyways, the Juggernaut Arcana is considerably well-made, kudos to the Dota 2 dev team. It has flashy particle effects for every skill, a dragon-themed aesthetic, and more explosives when you score a juicy kill. Coupled with the unlimited number of Juggernaut Dota 2 sets available in the game, along with Immortal-grade skins.
Let’s just say we be spoiled for choice just to have only one Juggernaut set. There you have it, stay in meta with Juggernaut Dota 2 as your next spammable hero pick in your games.
