Interface & DesignIs it easy to use the Rivalry esports betting service?
As soon as you load up the Rivalry website, you will quickly see that this site is a little different from the traditional sports betting website. This is because the brand foregrounds things like esports news and live streaming so that you have scroll down to find your relevant esports bets.
Thankfully, this proved to be relatively simple, and the whole website was intuitively designed so that you didn’t have to search too much to find anything from the login button to the live chat feature. There was a handy banner across the top of the website that clearly displayed all of the live esports betting options, and all of the important terms and conditions could be found at the bottom of the site.
Unfortunately it looks like the brand have yet to give us a Rivalry betting app, but as they have only been in operation since September 2017, we can’t dock them too many points for this omission.
Bonus Offers & Free BetsExclusive VIP rewards club with $350 in bonuses
Whilst many betting sites put on a matched deposit bonus for new customers, once again Rivalry have shown us that they are keen to do things a little differently. This is because the brand have recently implemented an exciting VIP programme that gives you lots of different missions that reward you with Rivalry bonus funds of anything up to $350.
All you need to access this deal is to sign up to Rivalry and then you can work your way through various betting challenges. These range from making an opening bet of at least $1 on any esports pre-match bets on odds of 1.2 or higher, to betting at least $2.50 on an esports match and watching at least 20 minutes of the contest via the live streaming service. Thankfully there aren’t any annoying wagering conditions, and we are sure that this could be a great way to get to know the Rivalry site a little better.

Esports MarketsFocuses on the biggest esports
Whilst Rivalry is undoubtedly focused on esports betting, they don’t appear to have odds for too many gaming titles. Instead the brand tend to keep their odds restricted to the biggest esports titles around so that you get to enjoy plenty of bets on games like CSGO, LoL, Dota 2 and Overwatch.
Each esports match benefits from a decent amount of betting markets. This means that for a standard Dota 2 match you can take bets on the match winner, the team to get the first Aegis in the first game, the team to get the first tower in the first game, and you can even predict who the winner of the second game will be. So whilst there isn’t the biggest choice of esports betting options here, it’s nice to find that Rivalry cover all of the biggest titles.
From mid-June 2020 the site also offers the possibility to bet on twitch streamers.
Live StreamingWatch your in-play bets live
A big reason as to why so many esports betting fans rush to Rivalry is the fact that the brand include a free live streaming service. This gives you a great way to adjust your live betting strategies in accordance to the on-screen action. The live stream comes courtesy of Twitch.tv which all gamers know offers the very best live streaming service around.
In addition to this, Rivalry also provide you with plenty of helpful statistics and facts about the relevant teams’ recent form so that you have everything you need to make a well-informed esports bet.
Odds and LimitsWhat odds can you get for Rivalry esports betting?
We couldn’t have a Rivalry esports review without taking a close look at the brand’s odds. In order to put the brand to the test we decided to compare Rivalry and Betway’s odds for a forthcoming League of Legends LCK Summer Split showdown between BBQ Olivers and Hanwha Life. Our odds comparison test found that Rivalry were offering odds of 3.29 for a BBQ Olivers win and 1.26 for a Hanwha Life victory. These weren’t quite as good as the odds that Betway offered as they had BBQ Olivers at 3.55 to win, whilst they gave Hanwha Life odds of 1.25 for winning this match. But whilst this quick test in our Rivalry esports review showed that Betway had the upper hand here, it’s worth remembering that Rivalry tend to have way more esports betting options.
And just in case you were wondering how much you can win at Rivalry, you’ll have to get in touch with the brand’s customer service team as nothing on their website gives you any indication of their betting limits.
Customer ServiceHelpful live chat support options
If you need to get in contact with Rivalry, then you can use the free 24-hour live chat support service to reach out to one of their customer service representatives. By doing this, the brand state that they will aim to get back to you within three hours.
In addition to this, you can also contact the brand via their dedicated email support address, plus there is also a very useful FAQ that can help you to find answers to the most common customer queries. Whilst it’s probably a little old-fashioned for most gamers, the brand have also included their postal address which helps to remove a layer of anonymity that you find at many esports betting sites. And if that wasn’t enough then the brand have also developed the Rivalry Academy that can teach you everything from how odds work to how to make a parlay bet.
SecurityThe most important part of our Rivalry esports review
If you are concerned about how Rivalry are handling your personal details and deposits, then you should take some comfort from the fact that the brand are fully licensed and regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. This means that Rivalry have to prove that they are capable of delivering a safe, fair and transparent esports betting service otherwise they could end up losing their gambling license.
Just to prove that Rivalry are keen to facilitate fair esports betting, the brand have also signed up to the Esports Integrity Coalition which aims to help esports gain a much greater level of legitimacy. We were also pleased to see how Rivalry had sought the help of GamCare to give you the tools necessary to keep your esports betting fun and in control. And with all of the security that comes with a fully encrypted website, you shouldn’t worry too much about how Rivalry are handling your personal details.
ConclusionFinal thoughts in our Rivalry esports review
Our review of Rivalry found that this is a betting site who have made a great start in catering to the needs of most gaming fans. The esports betting odds were nearly able to keep up with much more established betting sites, the overall feel of the site felt friendly and professional, and it’s always reassuring to see a betting site that clearly displays that they are licensed to facilitate legal gambling.
Most gamers will be very impressed by the fact that Rivalry include a free live streaming service, plus the addition of a esports news service is a great way to keep up with all of the latest gaming action. In addition to this, the brand made it easy to get in touch through their live chat and email customer support services.
However, it wasn’t a flawless performance. We were a little confused about the fact that the site operates in US dollars which means that you have to suffer some currency conversion fees. Whilst the lack of betting app was forgivable, we did find it strange that Rivalry only seemed to concentrate on the four biggest esports.
Despite these reservations we have to remember that Rivalry have only been with us since 2017, and so hopefully they will include more niche esports in the future. One thing is clear and that is that Rivalry are keen to do things a little differently, so why not sign up to their interesting VIP programme and see how you can enjoy an easy and safe esports bet at this promising site.
