If you are not aware, Web3 is still an emerging industry and economy. Those who have gotten in early on investments are reaping the rewards, even if they sold. Already, crypto tokens like Ethereum and Bitcoin are up thousands of percent. NFT projects like CryptoPunks and Axie Infinity are also seeing similar gains.

What NFT Job Titles are there?

If you are looking for an NFT job, then you are in luck, as there are many different NFT jobs you can apply for. Working within Web3 is not something you grow up thinking you will do, which makes it very unique and somewhat cool.

Below, we will list some of the main NFT careers available:

NFT Consult jobs

If you are already knowledgeable about Web3, then a consulting job for an NFT company could be for you. In this role, you will charge them for your knowledge and expertise and give them guidance to grow their business and show what is an NFT and how it can be profitable.

This role is usually a self employed gig so you will need to build a personal brand off of it. Doing so can be done via a website or social media.

NFT Artist jobs

If you are a creative who enjoys NFTs then an artist job will fit you perfectly. Releasing your own NFT collection can be costly and time consuming with no real guarantee of an income from it.

However, if you have a portfolio of work and a clear vision, it will be more viable to work for a company and build yourself up from there.

NFT art jobs will only get more in demand as more companies from Web2 start to onboard into the blockchain list!

NFT Discord Moderator jobs

Discord is a popular platform for all things Web3. For example, BoredApeYachtClub have their own Discord where updates are posted for the project along with competitions to win prizes.

If you are familiar with Discord and have a background in customer service and HR then a Discord Moderator role is for you.

NFT Developer jobs

NFT developers are a lifeline for an NFT game project. They understand a highly complex solidity programming language, similar to Java and Python. Knowing this language helps to build smart contracts for the Ethereum blockchain which has remained one of the most popular blockchains for NFT platforms and projects.

Being an NFT developer can lead down multiple routes whether it is working for a project or building a service/platform for businesses to host their NFTs on.

Music NFT jobs

NFT music is a new direction that many artists and record labels have taken when distributing work to fans. Revolver Magazine, a heavy metal and hardcore/punk magazine from the United States has rereleased old records of bands that also include an NFT of the album.

Contribute your musical and NFT knowledge for new emerging artists online or for established record labels.

NFT Analyst jobs

If you have a strong understanding of what makes NFTs, NFTs and concepts like “tokenomics” an NFT analyst role is your bread and butter. Using both creative and analytical skills you will work closely to mould the technical side of a project and then communicate this to a wider audience through marketing content and content found in Whtiepapers/websites.

How to Upskill for an NFT Career

If you are a young person or someone who has not had much experience working professionally, you may find it hard to initially find a role.

This is no issue and can easily be amended with a bit of hard work and dedication!

There are plenty of free and paid resources on the internet that can help you develop skills necessary for an NFT career.

The first place we would recommend looking is Binance. Whilst it is a crypto and NFT crypto exchange, they also offer free learning resources on Web3 topics. Here you can gain a good understanding of NFTs.

YouTube is also a great place for free learning resources. Whether you want to get into a consultation role or a more creative role in NFTs, YouTube will more than likely have a video covering it!

We would also recommend taking a Google Digital Garage course named “The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing”. It is a recognised course that gives you a good understanding of jargon and concepts in the world of digital work such as NFTs. It will also make your application stand out from the rest!

Where can I find an NFT job?

Once you have worked out which NFT career you want, it is time to try to find your chosen role. There are a number of online platforms where you can find a job in Web3. It is just knowing where to go so you can get the ball rolling!

One of the best places currently for a NFT career is LinkedIn. Whilst it is a corporate social media site, it is also renowned for the job listings made available to candidates. Companies in the NFT space will post job listings that you can apply for. Simply upload an up to date CV to LinkedIn and cover letter.

Furthermore, recruiters also are actively looking for new recruits. Simply putting you are open for work on your profile will invite recruiters to send you job descriptions through, and more times than not they will speak over the phone with you to give you more information on the job!

Another good place to look is of course an NFT companies site. They will also post job listings that sometimes do not make it onto LinkedIn giving you a potential edge and more chance of securing your new NFT career.

If you are unable to find a listing, it does not hurt to reach out to a company and speak with them directly. Showing initiative paints you in a good light before you have even sent off an application.
