FlyToMoon becomes NaVi ahead of OGA Dota PIT Season 3

OGA returns to Europe for the third season of Dota PIT on September 23. The event boasts a rewarding prize pool of 170,000 USD. It may not be the grandest event of the year, but it certainly has its own charm, which is the El Clásico between Team Secret and OG.

The main story of the event has however shifted towards CIS favorites Natus Vincere and their fresh new roster.

RodjER and the boys become NaVi

Russian seasoned player, Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan recently announced that he will play for FlyToMoon in the OGA Dota PIT closed qualifiers. The veteran of the CIS region, who contributed to Virtus.pro’s legacy, is still highly regarded in the Dota 2 community and his recent move put question marks on many.

In the closed qualifiers, FlyToMoon was off to a good start defeating European all-star stack 5men, then moved on to beat NiP in the finals and secured a spot in the main event. This came as a continuation of their relatively good performance in summer as they won Omega League Divine and placed 4th behind OG at OGA Dota PIT S2.

Sure enough, as soon as FlyToMoon won the qualifiers, the entire roster was signed by Natus Vincere on a trial basis. The new roster will represent NaVi at both OGA Dota PIT S3 and ESL One Germany 2020.

As for the old roster, all five players have been moved to the Inactive player room.

The OGA Dota PIT Season 3 storyline

The event kicks off with Playoffs bracket immediately. Eight teams will play a best-of-three series double elimination bracket to get things moving. As per usual, an intense best-of-five series is reserved for the grand finals.

Six teams were invited to the OGA Dota PIT Season 3. Team Secret, OG, Nigma, Alliance, Team Liquid and VP.Prodigy all received a direct invite. The remaining two slots were acquired by 5men and NaVi (FlyToMoon).

Kuroky still recovering

Nigma fans will be disappointed with the news about Kuroky’s absence from the team once again. While we wished team Nigma’s captain well, it has definitely been ages since we last saw Kuroky play competitively. In fact, the last time we saw Kuroky in the game was back in the BEYOND EPIC tournament, that resulted in Nigma’s second-place victory.

Nonetheless, Kuroky’s absence will be filled by Nigma’s long-serving coach, rmN-. Having participated in both OMEGA League and OGA Dota PIT S2 is reassuring, to say the least. Till Kuroky completely recovers from his injury, rmN-‘s role as captain and drafter is very much appreciated.

Once again, Nigma are not considered favorites due to the next two rad rosters coming up.

A Classic El Clásico

The ongoing rivalry between Team Secret and OG will continue at the OGA Dota PIT Season 3. While there’s undeniably a gap in sheer strength and performance between the two, it’s still an entertaining bunch to keep an eye of.

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng is OG’s latest addition to the Team Secret troll fiesta. This time an Among Us reference about MidOne being the spy serving for his former team captain, Puppey.

OG is probably the only that can challenge Team Secret this season. MidOne deserves at least some credit for his decent performance and incredible synergy with team OG. After just months of bootcamps, he’s certainly trying his best to prove his loyalty.

At every tournament this summer, we ask if OG can challenge Team Secret who are the uncrowned champions of this season, and every single Secret answers with a clear: NO!

So its time to ask again: “Can OG finally challenge Team Secret for the top spot in European Dota 2?”

Finally, Team Secret is most likely your best pick in Dota 2 betting. Do not miss a chance at catching good Dota 2 odds for NaVi and their new and improved roster as well.
