Our LoL Worlds 2019 Knockout Stage Predictions

Although there are several teams from each remaining region (2 from China, 3 from Korea, and 3 from Europe), there will be no duels between teams from the same region in the Knockout Stage. As usual, every match forward is in a “best of 5 format”, the first team to win 3 games will be the one to advance to the next round.

First of all, the duel between the veterans squads of SKT1 and Splyce may seem a bit uneven in most comparisons. Undoubtedly, the performance of Humanoid and Xerxe in the middle of the map has shown formidable synchronization. SKT1 must take extra precautions in the early game due to both teams developing on the same lane. Additionally, both teams thrive in a slower paced game which should point towards a lot of late-game fighting and interesting team fights. On paper SKT1 outclass Splyce in any scenario.

We do not mention G2 meeting DAMWON in the Knockout Stage. G2 are the absolute favorite for winning Worlds 2019 without a doubt. Predicting G2 moving forward goes without saying.

On the other side of the bracket there is a pretty close match between FPX and Fnatic. The match can go either way and making outright predictions a real nightmare. In this case, the active community of LoL Betting must be attentive to LoL Worlds 2019 Predictions if they want to score some successes.

Following them, Griffin goes against Invictus Gaming on the same side of the bracket. With both teams having drastically different approaches to the game, we can expect either of them to move forward. However, Griffin has shown up better in Groups after dismantling G2 in a tiebreaker, while the reigning champions Invictus struggled heavily in their groups run. Our favor tilts toward Griffin to advance.

Our pick: who will rise the cup?

First of all, placing your bet on SKT1 in 2018 may have not being the best idea, in contrast, 2019 has shown us a renewed team so far.  The built-up strategy around Faker’s mid lane showed solid results at regional tournaments. Meanwhile, after a low start at the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) the team managed to get a clean shot to the second place and showed amazing 5-men synergy around the mid lane.

As for the moment, SKT1 is the favorite to rise the cup in France at the end of the LoL Worlds 2019.
