Major Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Update Coming on Feb 3rd
A major Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl update is coming to the game pretty soon. It looks like the title is getting some much-needed balancing changes and even a major new character. The next Nickelodeon All-Star brawl update is set to expand this title’s world even further. So far, the title has managed to address most of the communities’ issues and see some real growth.
Nickelodeon All-Star has been a bit of a sleeper hit in the fighting game community. This might just be a Nickelodeon take on the Smash Bros formula but it has a certain charm that a lot of players have gotten on board with. The game has even had small events at pro Smash tournaments too. This new update looks set to further expand the game’s world.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Update
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has had a few updates since it was first released, the most notable was probably the release of Garfield as a fighter. However, other updates have added quality of life improvements. The game has been quiet for a little bit, but we’ve just gotten confirmation that something big is coming soon.
The contents of the update aren’t completely known right now. However, there are a few things we can expect. The update is going to be unveiled on February 3rd, so that’s the date to tune in for more details on the Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl update.
DLC Fighters for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
The reveals for a new All-Star character might not have the same pomp and circumstance of a Smash reveal, but the developers have done their part to make them hyped events. In December, the game’s art director even got involved with a tournament to talk about future plans. He popped up on Hungrybox’s The Box Championship Circuit final stream. The art director said that new updates will be coming in 2022, along with DLC characters.
The specifics for the DLC characters haven’t been revealed, but there are a few hints to which character is coming next to the game. The game originally contained some data for both Garfield and Shredder, the villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The tweet to announce the update seemed to hint at Shredder too.

The player select screen shows the Turtles and April from the Ninja Turtles franchise with a blank space. It is a natural assumption here that this is a tease for Shredder’s release into the game. We can probably expect the character in this February Nickelodeon All-Star update.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s Surprising Longevity
Nickelodeon All-Stars has had surprising longevity since its release. It’s won some smaller awards for fighting games and praise from players and fans for its level of quality. There have even been tournaments for the game. There are still problems with the game, but developers have been very responsive to fixing problems. They’ve even done something about the much-maligned silence of the title.
Adding more characters and even more QoL fixes to the game are going to help it even more. The title has surprisingly grown a lot since release and this is a great example of how effective proper community management can be for a game, helping to push what could have been a minor title to cult status. Nickelodeon All-Star might not fully fill the Smash Bros hole, but it has loads of people hanging on the edge of their seats to see what character comes to the game with the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl update.
