Current Wild Rift Ranks

Moving forward, the LoL ranking system and Wild Rift ranking system are almost the same, with just a few differences on the mobile side. There are ten Wild Rift rank tiers in total for IOS and Android users to fight through. These tiers are Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger. An addition of the Emerald tier is unique for mobile players. There are four divisions for the WR ranks including Diamond but Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger only consist of one division each.

WR ranking is simple, especially if you are used to the computer version. Players can earn or lose marks according to their game’s result. When a certain amount of marks are reached, the player will be promoted to an upper-tier or new division. Players who are Diamond or below will have to surpass four divisions in order to reach the upper tier. On the other hand, players may lose marks they have earned by losing matches.

It all depends on players’ match results, just like earning LPs in LoL. Luckily, Riot Games decided to remove the Promotion Series from the mobile game, which allows players to achieve higher ranks after they reach the required amount of marks. For years in LoL, players had to play promotion series after reaching 100 LPs in their divisions, and many had complained about the system. Just like PC players, mobile users can also take a deep breath as the system and Wild Rift ranks percentage in the game are similar to the computer version.

Wild Rift Ranking System and How To Rank Up

To rank up in Wild Rift you need to earn Ranked Marks. Marks can be earned by winning ranked matches, but you can also lose your Marks by losing ranked matches. Marks are required in order for a player to rank up, but in case of losing too many Marks you can also demote.

Each tier requires a certain number of Marks to rank up to the next tier:

• Iron – 2 Marks
• Bronze – 3 Marks
• Silver – 3 Marks
• Gold – 4 Marks
• Platinum – 4 Marks
• Emerald – 5 Marks

It should be mentioned that you can also earn Ranked Fortitude for playing well from Iron through Emerald. Once you get enough Fortitude in a game, a Hex Shield is granted which prevents one mark loss. Instead of losing a Ranked Mark, you lose half of your Fortitude points instead. The Fortitude amount is based on match victory and the achievements that are earned in any given match. You can also lose Fortitude for negative behaviour in the game.

Each Rank has a cap for Ranked Fortitude

• Iron – 200
• Bronze – 300
• Silver – 400
• Gold – 600
• Platinum – 800
• Emerald – 1000

When players reach Diamond rank, the mark system is then replaced by Victory Points. These Victory Points will grant a placement on the leaderboard, and also help to move up a division in Diamond. Victory Points also differ from the regular marks in terms of their structure. VP can be granted for wins, but if a player ends up on the losing side, they can still earn points. In addition, for high-ELO players in Diamond and above, Wild Rift offers a Legendary Queue specifically for skilled players.

If their personal performance in-game is good, a player will not have to win for a positive points gain. This system prevents players from getting carried by other players and can separate the good from the bad. It also allows the best players to match each other and compete for the highest place.

Similarities and Differences with League of Legends
