Voting period for Hearthstone HCT Fall Champ is almost over

With the second season of the Hearthstone Championship Tour coming up in the Blizzard Arena in LA, it’s no wonder that fans are excited. 16 skilled players from around the world have fought hard through several qualifiers and play-offs in order to qualify for the final.

These 16 very coveted spots have now been claimed by players wanting their slice of the significant prize pool that’s on offer – a total of $250.000 is up for grabs, as well as a seat in the HCT World Championship itself. Along with the competition itself, another fan-favorite event returns: The Choose Your Champion!

Choose Your Champion lets fans choose their favorite among the 16 competitors. They can cheer them on throughout the tournament and even gain in-game rewards by doing so. With a choice of pro players from the Americas, the Asia-Pacific Region, China, and Europe participating, it shouldn’t be too difficult to pick a favorite for Hearthstone fans.

If you want to participate and pick a favorite, you can do so by clicking on this link and choosing one of the 16 players: Playhearthstone.com/choose-your-champion

Be careful in your selection though as you won’t be able to change your mind once you’ve made it. Just for participating, you will get one free card pack from the The Boomsday Prokect, but that’s not all – every time your chosen champion advances in the tournament (that is, to the quarter- semi- or finals), you get another pack. That means that if you select one of the two finalists, you can get a total of four packs overall.

The packs will be delivered the week after the Fall Championship is over, so you’ll have to be a little patient. If you haven’t participated in this yet, you should hurry up: The voting closes on the 10th of October at 11.59 PDT.

That means there isn’t an awful lot of time left to make your choice. Whether you want to pick your favorite based on who you like best or who you think will get you the most packs, be sure not to miss out on the chance to get some free stuff while you watch the championship.

If you’re not sure what to expect – the first round of the finals is a double-elimination group stage followed by single elimination playoffs. The group stage will take place over two days – the 11th and 12th of October – while the Elimination round will be held on the 13th of October. The top eight players from these two rounds then compete in the last few rounds on the 14th of October.

All events start at 8.30am PDT on their respective days and you can watch both in-person and online, of course. While the two group stage days aren’t open to the public, you can buy tickets for the last two days online. If you want to go, you should grab your tickets soon as they are limited. You can purchase them through Axs.com.

Good luck to you and your champion!
