TenZ VALORANT Settings: Mouse, Crosshair, Keybind, Map, Video

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is a Canadian Valorant streamer and a professional player for Sentinels. Since the game’s release, he has grown to become one of the biggest personalities of the scene and many of his fans often want to know Tenz’s Valorant settings to see how it feels to play like him.

Like most Valorant professionals, TenZ started his career in CS:GO. However, he did not find much success against the major teams. He made the switch to Valorant when the closed beta first launched in April 2020, and has since then rapidly grown in popularity and is considered to be one of the best in the game.

TenZ earned his spot on the Sentinels roster after an MVP performance that was instrumental in crowning them champions of the first-ever international Valorant LAN event, VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters in Reykjavík. TenZ was only on loan for this event, but soon after, he signed with Sentinels on June 1st 2021 after a reported seven-figure buyout from his previous organisation, Cloud9.

Since his early success on the main stage, TenZ has not been able to recreate that MVP caliber performance to the same extent, and Sentinels have struggled to compete with the top teams this year. Regardless of this, TenZ is still considered to be one of the best players in the world and known to be one of the most mechanically gifted players to have ever touched the game.

TenZ Pro Settings

As TenZ is such a popular personality in the scene whilst also being one of the best Valorant players, many new players will be watching him for tips and advice to help them improve their own game. Whilst copying his settings will sadly not turn you into a professional, it is definitely a good starting point as Tenz has some of the best Valorant settings that you can use if you are new to the game.

What Mouse does TenZ use?

Currently TenZ is using the Finalmouse Starlight Pro. After switching up many different mice throughout his career, this is the mouse he feels most comfortable with at the moment as the shape is perfect for a “palm-claw” grip. It is an ultra-light mouse coming in at around 42g for the Small and 47g for the Medium, with a 20,000 DPI optical sensor, a 1,000Hz polling rate, and a lithium ion battery that is able to last over 160 hours of continuous use. He has even partnered with Finalmouse to produce the TenZ x Finalmouse Starlight Pro, which was made available to purchase on July 17th, 2022. Finalmouse is a popular mouse brand amongst Valorant pros.

TenZ Pro Mouse Settings

Not only do professionals need to use a mouse that will make them most comfortable, they need to be using the perfect mouse settings as well. Whilst it is advised to find the mouse sensitivity and settings that feel most comfortable for you, it is a good idea to take a look at the sensitivities of other pros to give you a baseline and so that you can compare yourself to them.  We have found TenZ’s pro settings for if you want to try them for yourself. You should keep in mind that TenZ uses quite a high sensitivity, as most Valorant pro settings have an average eDPI of around 280.

  • DPI: 1600
  • Sensitivity: 0.22
  • eDPI: 352
  • Zoom Sensitivity: 1
  • Hz: 1000
  • Windows Sensitivity: 6
  • Raw Input Buffer: On

Making sure that you are comfortable by having perfect sensitivity and mouse settings are crucial if you are looking to improve and rank up in Valorant.

What Keyboard does TenZ use?

TenZ is currently using the Xtrfy K4 TKL RGB gaming keyboard. Nowadays, many pros choose to use a tenkeyless keyboard such as this one. They prefer the compact design as it allows them to have a lot more room to move their mouse, which is very important in professional matches where there will be no room for error. A number of other professionals in the scene also choose to use this same Xtrfy keyboard. The red mechanical key switches offer a lighter touch, faster actuation time and a lifetime of 70 million keystrokes.

TenZ Pro Keybind Settings

TenZ has made quite a few changes from the default keybind settings. One difference is that he has moved his “Jump” onto “Mouse Wheel Down”. Many pro players change this keybind in games such as CS:GO and Valorant as it makes bunny hopping a lot easier and can help improve your movement.

Another difference with TenZ’s Valorant settings from the default is that, similarly to most pros, he has moved his Ability keybinds onto his mouse buttons. Doing this makes it much easier to perform the action whilst still being able to maintain good movement. He has kept Ability 1 on “C”, however, Ability 2 has been moved to “Mouse 4” and Ability 3 to “Mouse 5”. Some new players may find that simply changing these ability keybinds can help them to rapidly rise up the Valorant ranks.

  • Walk: L-Shift
  • Crouch: L-Ctrl
  • Jump: Mouse Wheel Down
  • Use Object: E
  • Equip Primary Weapon: 1
  • Equip Secondary Weapon: 2
  • Equip Melee Weapon: 3
  • Equip Spike: 4
  • Use/Equip Ability 1: C
  • Use/Equip Ability 2: Mouse 4
  • Use/Equip Ability 3: Mouse 5
  • Use/Equip Ability Ultimate: F

TenZ Pro Crosshair Settings

Professional players like TenZ also need to be comfortable with the crosshair they are using to ensure their aim is perfect. Many fans want to try TenZ’s Valorant Settings to see if it works for them, so here they are:

Primary

  • Color: Cyan
  • Outlines: Off
  • Center Dot: Off

Inner Lines

  • Show Inner Lines: On
  • Inner Line Opacity: 1
  • Inner Line Length: 4
  • Inner Line Thickness: 2
  • Inner Line Offset: 2
  • Movement Error: Off
  • Firing Error: Off

Outer Lines

  • Show Outer Lines: Off
  • Movement Error: Off
  • Firing Error: Off

Many pros like to use a cyan crosshair for a number of reasons. It’s visible on almost all surfaces and enemies, it’s different from most backgrounds and it is bright enough so that you should never lose sight of it. Many other pros prefer to use a small dot for their crosshair, as this takes up less space on their screen and enables them to see the opponents more easily. This will help them to get one tap headshots more often. However TenZ amongst others feel that using a dot can make it harder to see the crosshair, and also more difficult to control recoil.

Despite using the most powerful graphics card available, TenZ plays on the lowest graphics settings possible to further maximise his FPS and ensure there are no problems with his PC’s performance at crucial stages in the game.
