The First Dota 2 Major in South America
While the first major in SA has lot to thank 4D Esports and Epulze for making it happen. Truthfully, the SA crowd has grown exponentially over the seasons. From consistent and strong SA talents claiming the ranks in Valve-sponsored tournaments to powerhouses venturing into SA scene.
It’s certainly a massive year for SA teams and fans to be excited about.
Hence, the South American representatives are putting their name on the line as they are home defenders against the visitors. Evil Geniuses, which is a North American Esports powerhouse with a SA roster will boast their TI-worthy team at Lima Major.
Meet the new teams at Lima Major 2023
It’s a new DPC season, and what better way to welcome the worthy candidates that rose up to the challenge. Firstly, Geek Slate and Execration deserve the credit for overthrowing the SEA powerhouses, BOOM Esports and Fnatic. For a team without much foothold in SEA DPC, they have truly shocked the competition and fans to become SEA’s proud representatives.
HellRaisers and Knights are also unexpected underdogs to qualify for Lima Major, and that speaks volume in DPC China’s treacherous rivalry. HR, albeit a household name in EEU scene, features an impressive line-up, featuring Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev from team OG.
Meanwhile, BetBoom is also a superstar team that boasts a stack of renowned players and prodigies. One of them is no other than the TI11 champion, Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek himself.
The Lima Major 2023 is on the right track to become a battlefield of powerful teams, highly anticipated to win the first major of DPC 2023. As such, it’s definitely not a tournament any Dota 2 fan would want to miss.
