League of Legends PBE 9.4 Patch notes

The PBE 9.4 cycle has introduced a fairly big change to support items which will destroy their viability in the top lane following its use in the NA LCS. Zed changes are finally here, which will seriously increase the champion’s early game and play making potential.


Champion changes

Lucian: W mana cost increased by 20 at all ranks, now costing 70. Damage has also been lowered at all levels, from 80/125/165/205/245 to 70/110/145/180/215.

Urgot: Passive bonus damage lowered by 10% at all stages. W mana cost increased to 65 at all levels, while its base shield strength has been moved away from early to late levels, 60/90/120/150/180 to 30/70/110/150/190, however, overall shielding has been reduced as with health scaling halved. Overall, this has targeted Urgot’s laning phase to prevent his abusive trades using his Purge (W) shield.

Vi: W attack speed bonus on third auto heavily increased at earlier level, from 20/30/40/50/60% to 30/37.5/45/52.5/60%. Will increase Vi’s clear speed a fair amount.

Zed: Attack speed per level major buff, from 2.1% to 3.3%, giving Zed a large boost in attack speed at level 18. Q base damage buffed, from 90/120/150/180/210 to 90/125/160/195/230 with its AD scaling also up by 10%, now a one to one ratio of base AD. Living shadow (W) recast range increased to a massive 1950 range, up from 1300, allowing much more outplay potential throughout every phase of the game.  W cooldown early game has been slightly reduced to give Zed more window for trades and outplays, down to 20/18.5/17/15.5/14 from 22/20/18/16/14. To offset Zed’s buffs, bonus AD from Deathmark (R) has been removed.

Item changes

  • Essence Reaver: AD stat increased by 5, now to 65.
  • Spellthief: Bonus gold from damaging spells or attacks will only be granted if there is an allied champion within 1500 range. Gold amount per proc increased by 1, now to 11. This applies to the entire Spellthief item line / future upgrades.
  • Ancient Coin: Requires an allied champion within 1500 range for gold coins to drop, mana coins drop otherwise. Gold per coin increased by 3, now granting 28 gold.
