CoD Warzone Weapons – Full Guide
Here at Esports.net, we aim to provide excellent in-depth analysis and breakdowns. Specifically for Call of Duty, we go in depth on weapon types, and COD Warzone weapons loadouts. For this reason, we have organised sections for each weapon class. You will find out how each class performs, along with their own positive and negative aspects.
CoD Warzone Assault Rifles
Positives and Negatives
The most frequently used Warzone weapons are in the AR class. This class possesses weapons with high mobility, high fire rate, short-long distance abilities and incredible damage. When combined with correct attachments, there is no need for Overkill. The only negatives being that it doesn’t excel past SMGs performances up close and cannot accurately compare to a Sniper from longer range. However, when compared to other classes, ARs perform superbly on every front, which makes having a specific AR class essential.

CoD Warzone SMGs
Positives and Negatives
Whether you are traversing through buildings for loot or going through bunkers, anything in this weapon class will outperform all competition up-close. At the inception of Warzone in Verdansk, SMG Warzone weapons had been the most dominant variant available at that time. Unfortunately, as more updates occurred, this impact has been negated. Due to the classes inability to fire consistently from further distances, Overkill is often used to include a Sniper or efficient AR.

CoD Warzone Shotguns
Positives and Negatives
Here is a class of COD Warzone weapons that have caused many broken controllers and keyboards. Whether it is fire-bullets hitting players or campers hiding in every corner, it cannot be denied, this class can pack a punch. They also have the highest DPS up close. However, they struggle from medium-long distances. Additionally, you cannot wipe out multiple players, which can lead to you being turned on. Run and Overkill class when using anything here.
CoD Warzone LMGs
Positives and Negatives
Each weapon type in this class has great bullets-to-kill ratio and damage stats. If you use anything above, ensure positioning is on point. Once set up in circle, this will allow you to take aim at incoming opponents without having to experience the poor mobility LMGs have. Negatives can be found in close quarter combat. To negate the issues LMGs pose, always try to relocate to other positions earlier.
CoD Warzone Tactical Rifles
Positives and Negatives
Weapons in this class are a hybrid between an AR and Marksman. You will find these have similar damage stats to an AR but have lesser fire rates in base versions. Marksman characteristics come in the form of accuracy and recoil consistency. When equipped with the correct attachments, 3-4 bursts can down enemies. Overall, this class performs well from medium to long range. With moderate stats, no Overkill is required but a patient playstyle is recommended.
CoD Warzone Marksman Rifles
Positives and Negatives
With our second hybrid class, Marskman Rifles can be seen as more mobile Sniper Rifles. Damage is still high per bullet, TTK is strong, and range is greater than most other weapons. However, its increased mobility increases both recoil and optic sway, which can lead to missed shots. It is recommended that Overkill is paired with any Rifle above, and with an SMG or AR combo, you can dominate a map from all ranges.
CoD Warzone Sniper Rifles
Positives and Negatives
This class excels in longer range duels. In nearly every Warzone professional’s arsenal is a strong Sniper class, as they can down opponents within 1-2 bullets consistently. Due to the nature of the weapon types, they can be negated from any range that isn’t long. To correct this issue, Overkill is a must run Perk, which will allow you to store a weapon that supports you at different ranges.
Don’t be afraid to try out different COD Warzone weapons from all classes, as this will allow you to find a perfect set-up that you enjoy. Now all that is left is to pick a loadout, select a game mode and get that win.
